After the Dreamworks Records roster was merged into either Interscope or Geffen Records, the Eels were dropped and cast aside by the major label geniuses at the Universal Music Group. Now, the band have negotiated a deal with Vagrant Records. They'll be releasing a double-album entitled "Blinking Lights and Other Revelations" on April 26th. Mark Everett, aka E, the frontman for the band says that the disc is "a love letter to life itself, in all its beautiful, horrible glory" and that it is about "God and all the questions related to the subject of God." The 33-track collection features collaborations with Peter Buck of R.E.M., Tom Waits, and a rare appearance from John Sebastian from The Lovin' Spoonful.
