Does this now mean we've 'made it' ?

Actually, we were asked a month ago by the world famous music magazine to submit a list of our Top 10 Most Requested Tracks for inclusion in an upcoming issue as the weekly 'guest chart' sidebar in their news section. They told us it would run in the first issue of 2005 and true to their word, there we are on page 7 of the January 8 edition with Franz Ferdinand on the cover.

However, not that we're complaining, they goofed up and listed our website as www.woxy.co.uk . Most discriminating readers will note that our logo that's shown with the list clearly says woxy.com. We know that people will figure it out. Anyone can make a mistake (but WHY US!!!!!...) ;)

It's only available in the print version, so check it out while you can.

Those cheeky bastards!

(actually, congrats on the shout-out...I'd feel like I "made it" if I had a mention in the NME)

Cheers to all at 97X...

If there isn't it's probably Rafe's fault. Congrats to all! This is great.

just a thought, I'd e-mail the cats at www.woxy.co.uk and explain what happened and ask if they'd be so kind as to put one of those
"if you're looking for <some crap about woxy> go to www.woxy.com"

they might be nice enough to do it.

I would definitely let them know they screwed up the url. You may get a mention in next month's issue as well because of it (even if it is just a correction).

As Mike mentioned in his post, it's the issue with Franz Ferdinand on the cover. The Bloc Party issue is the current one in the UK, but it usually takes (at least) a week for them to start turning up in US stores. I am going to try and find on this weekend!

was the incorrect url sort of an inadvertant comment on the state of most of US music broadcasts/webcasts?

Hehe - nicely done. I must admit, I felt really chuffed for you all when I stumbled upon it, and showed all my colleagues at work, who are pretty "Music-savvy". Good job, and a nice advertisement for the station - I hope it attracts a slew of new listeners - you deserve it.

Blame the co.uk slip-up on the type setter/proof reader - it happens from time to time.

You might want to try Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Hyde Park. They usually have international magazines and harder-to-find publications.
