MUSIC: Pixies Tour DVD's On The Way

The Pixies closed out their reunion tour a few weeks back and the band members are already planning out what 2005 will hold for them. While there is still no official word on whether they'll record a new studio album, you can expect some live dvd releases later in the year. They had a film crew follow them around over the eight month period they were on the road and that footage is already being edited down. At the moment it looks there may be two separate releases --- one a documentary about getting back together and the second disc just featuring the live concert footage. Both films may be released together as a 2-dvd package, but that has yet to be determined. In the meantime, Kim Deal is scheduling studio time for a new Breeders record, which will be their first since getting dropped from the Elektra roster. Frank Black is also preparing to yet again release 2 new albums, most likely on spinART, over the course of the year.

I got interviewed for that documentary at the first reunion show. Cool to see that it'll see the light of day. Not so cool that my ugly ass might be in it.

I can't wait to see it!!! It is living proof that the Pixies, my fave band of all times got back together. :p It's still hard to believe, I've seen em live!!!

Right now I am also looking forward to Frank Black and the Breeders to release new albums this year, too!!!! Can this all really be happening???
