View Full Version : Moveon.org voter intimidation

So Moveon.org showed up at my friends house yesterday in Butler County (after calling and harrassing me) with a clipboard and asked him if he was going to vote. He said yes he was, and they wrote his name down. Then they said if he didn't vote, they would know and they would call him.
What kind of crap is that? When they called me they gave me the same drag. Where are they even getting my name from, and beyond that my telephone number.

thnx to the ability of anyone bein abl to challeng anyone's vote I would keep myself off any lists.

Al they need to do is come up/w some off-the-wall challenge & ur vote goes in limbo.

Ohio Supreme court just rejected challengers. Also even if it was in place, if they challenged you, you could still vote.

Moveon.org stopped at my neighbor's house and asked him who he was going to vote for. He said "I like to keep that information private."

So they beat him up with a sock full of nickels and said "It better be Kerry or your dead!!"

These guys play hardball.

That shit deserves a thread all of it's own. Talk about f'ed up. I'm so glad the Supreme Court shot it down.

And lets not forget to throw out the absentee military ballots as well.

Greg Harris's campaign office is at the end of my street. Last night, one of his croanies went down the street and put Kerry Edwards signs in a lot the "front yards" or tree wells.

I walk out as he's doing it, and promptly pull the one in front of my house out of the ground and fold it up. The croany gives me a thumbs up, like "it's cool."

What a fascist thing to do: "you don't have anyone's sign in your yard, so I'll put one of mine up."

tools.

(p.s. that's one Kerry Edwards sign being recycled. go Green!)

Take it with a grain of salt... I've heard that a group of people are going around posing as MoveOn and other organizations using the name as their affiliation to credit or discredit said party.

I've also heard that there are anti-Kerry people going around posing as MoveOn and acting menacing, annoying, and discourteous for a little reverse-psychology tactics... basically to piss off the people enough to change their vote to the other side.

So yes, this has to be taken with a grain of salt.

It could have been actually card-carrying MoveOn people, but it very easily could not. From listening to the story, it sounds like MoveOn posers…

And I'm pretty sure this shit is happening on both sides of the spectrum.

I've had people at my door telling me that if I don't vote for Bush then I should fear for my children's lives because of on-coming terrorist attacks...but I'm not gonna start a thread about it.

Wouldn't it just be nice to feel like the election process was at least fair, with the outcome truly based on a full count of what the people wanted.

Oh well, maybe next Constitution.

To go along with Sofa King about how both sides are going nuts this election just in my hometown:

Bush Supporters send out letters to newly registered voters telling them that there was an error and that they are not registered.

Kerry Supporters register people unknowingly and even register dead people.

Bush Supporters allegedly send out letter to recently registered voters that support Kerry informing them that because of the large amount of voters, polling will be expanded to Wednesday, and the letter actually encourages these people to vote on Wednesday. (I know there was an Onion article about this, but this actually was for real around here)

Countless organizations on both sides playing hardball and threatening voters and polling places.

Oh, and don't forget the people asking for petitions on a certain issue. Only to find out that these signatures are being sent to election boards to try and get their names on the challenge list.

Amazing... This is America and we have to deal with crap like intimidation and ballot stuffing. You would think our people would be beyond this.
