So awhile ago J.K. Rowling announced the title of the 6th Harry Potter book: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

Now, according to this snippet (http://www.scifi.com/scifiwire/art-main.html?2004-10/08/11.00.books) from the sci-fi wire, one of the characters will not survive this novel.

So who is gonna die?
And who the hell is the half blood prince?

hell, just kill 'em all off and have harry potter reincarnated as someone who actually does some real magic and as someone who could find his way out of a wet paper bag. its like he's a movie star and he doesn't even do any stunts, but instead he has his cohorts do them instead of him like 99% of the time. (of course this is just from my point of view from the first 3 books, but still)

It's always speculation with this series, and I'm no good at guessing. I'll find out when I read the book.

Half-blood prince? - Neville or perhaps Viktor, whom I predict will be the new Dark Arts teacher, unless they already announced that part about Defense Against the Dark Arts... I need to reread the 5th book.

Who is going to die? - Percy Weasley

Half-Blood Prince = Remus Lupin


I think more than one person bites it this book
Next to die = Mad-Eye Moody and Remus Lupin


More will be revealed about the portal that Sirius Black went through and he will make his return in Book 7.

I think they already announced that "The Half-Blood Prince" is a character we haven't seen before.

I'm thinking the character that eats it is Albus Dumbledore. My wife thinks Mr. Weasley.

no way will they kill off Albus before the end of the series. I just don't see that happening.

There is only going to be seven books this would be number six. Killing off his two mentors in time for the last book and his eventual confrontation with Voldemort makes sense to me.

-my guess is that the half blood prince is voldemort, and seeing as that the main conflict is harry vs. volde, it makes since to me

-DADA teacher-once again who cares, theyll be gone by the end of the new book anyways
