O.K. I recently moved and went to the Middletown Democratic office to drop off my voter registration/address change form. They're looking for some people to help man the place at night. I'm just throwing this out there:

I'm considering doing it 1 or 2 nights a week if I can to help the cause. There's no pressure from them, maybe making a few phone calls and talking to people that come in for a few hours each night.

Anyone interested? Just curious.

Daggone it, matt, I can't firebomb the place if you're in there!;)

Actually, I was thinking of something along the lines of napalm.

Hope you can find someone who will volunteer with you.

I'll be volunteering in Cinti this weekend. At some point I had to quit complaining and do something.

in a similar vein, I'm finally getting involved with vote mob (sponsored by 21st century dems) here in columbus, and we're gonna need all the help we can get now that OSU is starting classes.

pm me if you're interested in volunteering!

Canvassed for the first time this morning with about 60 other volunteers. Met some really good people. After a short training session, we were split into 2 member teams and sent on our way.

I feel like I made a difference doing the canvassing. I think three undecideds were persuaded to vote Kerry on my route alone. Not bad for 2 hours spent on a Saturday morning.

Sad thing happened though. What do you say to a woman in her late 30s/early 40s whose 20 year old son was sent to Iraq last Thursday?

Sueque and Matt, hope your volunteering is going well.

Another volunteer opportunity: Election Protection (http://www.electionprotectionvolunteer.org/electionprotection/index.cfm?itemid=17577) volunteers are needed.
