How do you get one and or where do you get one?

but when you snag the pick what do you do with it and how do you get it to be under your username

Go to your "user cp"
Once there, go to "edit options"
Down toward the bottom you'll see "other options"
there you'll find the "Avatar" info

Or you can find any image you like and shrink it down to 50x50.
