I see that you are "from" MA. Can you give us midwesterners a view of the taxes in the area? Are they as high as I hear - as high as uh... (see signature line :D)? And what is this voluntary thing? Does anybody do that?

Sorry, I'm not the one to ask. :rolleyes: I took the past year off after high school to get me a job, but no one wanted to hire me, so I have no moolah to pay on. So...when I start paying taxes, I'll let you know. :p But from what I hear, yeah, they're pretty high. Like, the highest next to Sweden... which are apparently up there (no pun intended).

There's someone else from Mass around here, isn't there? Maybe he'll field this one for me... *looks around* ...Boston guy?..

(If I read it right, taxes here are only bad if you're really rich -- rank 6th highest for tax on corporations -- or really poor -- tax return low on the dollar.)
