A friend of mine sent me some info that the company that purchased both stations located at 97.7 is trying to have the city of license changed to Mason, OH. There is another rumor that the format will be modern rock, but it will not be executed locally. That all the jocks will be voicetracked in from outside the market.
I guess a few more days will tell the tale.

The thing I liked about WOXY the most was the live DJ's. You always knew that somebody was either behind the microphone or close to it.

yeah i hate it when i am travelling and find a station with a dead dj. you know you hear a bunch of songs by the same artist and you think oh, theyre doing the block thing, then you realize theyre really long blocks and from the same album, then the next song you realize its in exact order, and you think hot damn that album was released quite a while ago is it some sort of anniversary? no the damn dj died and now you have to listen to this til the end of the album and then silence until the next dj shows up and pulls the corpse out of the booth.
