Since the website is about to become priority one with the station (uh, stream, or...what are supposed to call the X now anyway?) and the loyal fans alike, I wonder if there are any big innovations or improvements planned for this website.

Woxy.com already is top notch about reading and responding/replying to emails and studio requests. I’m sure that will not falter in the days to come.

I would like to see updates about the whole operation that is 97X; more news and opinions from the on-air staff; photos of the studio, music library, any of the shwag that didn’t already get scooped up by Baloghs and the out-going staff (don’t get me wrong, they certainly are entitled to it.). How about a web cam of the DJ spinning the tunes?

Anyone else have any suggestions? Anyone “in the know” willing to divulge a little preview?

I still wonder when the switch actually is. Last I read it wasn't til sometime mid-May...but I could be wrong...

Wow, that's actually really good news then, right? Like the station is actually still going to be "broadcasting" longer?

The most resent news for 97X HQ has forced me/us to come to grips with a world without an audible "Future of Rock and Roll".

The question I posed earlier still stands, but it is now much more difficult to answer.

WOXY will definitely own all of the music they have played for the last two decades. They will definitely own this website and message board. I also assume they will still continue to own the "brown shack" in Oxford as well.

What can they do with these assets that will still make them relevant and profitable? Is there an untapped market out there that WOXY could crack?

Publish a cheap magazine with reviews and sampler CDs?

Buy/lease a channel on Cincinnati Warner Cable? I’d watch a screen saver just to listen to the X!

I know there are a lot of forward thinkers out there, and we certainly are a vocal bunch. Unfortunately, cries of “sell-out” and “now I can’t listen in the car” have drowned out the voices that could offer hopes instead of gripes.

I would love for the staff committed to moving the X forward, to hear something other than complaints.
