I just read this and I thought it was rediculous.
West Virginia Govr is pissed off at Abercrombie (http://www.dailypress.com/news/local/virginia/dp-sou--t-shirttussle0322mar22,0,2455108,print.story?coll=dp-headlines-virginia)

Does anyone remember the Chong Brothers t-shirts that A&F had to remove ? When is everyone not going to be so uptight about everything?

Yeah, because when I see some rich kid wearing an A&F shirt that implies that everyone in West Virginny practices incest, it must be true.

This was what I was talking about. Not about discrimination in hiring. Where in my last post did I say anything about discrimination of hiring?

"I don't know why anyone should be angry or upset," Lisa Tan, 20, told the San Jose Mercury News. Tan stood in line with her cousin, Stephanie Wu, both Chinese Americans, to buy a blouse. "It's a fun shirt."I think I'll ask RS to wear a shirt saying "Lil' Sambo's Travel Agency: Once you go black you'll never come back"

or even better:
"O'Mally's Beer and Fries: WTF else we gonna do? we're Irish!"

fuckin idiots.

They also have one that makes fun of my home state. "New Hampshire: 40 million squirrels can't be wrong"

It doesn't even make sense. There aren't an unusual amount of squirrels. They should have said something about moose or deer. Idiots.

But the governor of NH won't get mad, because he's a publicity whore. He likes when the state gets attention, even if it's stupid or negative.

New Hampshire's awesome. It's just like Vermont, only a little to the right.

So true.
Vermont: The State the Makes New Hampshire Nervous.

My boyfriend picks on me all the time. He always quotes Conan from after the Old Man of the Mountain collapsed. Conan did a list of new top NH landmarks. #1 was the sign saying "welcome to massachusetts"

yep, referenced 2 stereotypes, wish I didn't have to in an attempt to make a point.

I do feel bad, and did feel bad when I wrote them. That is an honest statement.

This is just another example of how fascism is running rampant in our society right now. If we can't poke fun at other people then how is it that we have freedom of speech? I kinda agree that the Asian t-shirts are a little touchy, but the West Virginia t-shirts are fine with me and should NOT have to be removed from the shelves and destroyed. No one is taking this tshirt serious, its just a joke. Get over it.

Fair enough. Long as you recognize.
