Been waiting for this one to be released--for the record, I was not expecting another Vegas. That would be too good to be true. I have to say that Legion is solid, but not 'get up and shake it' great. I like the middle tracks the most. They seem to flow better. "I Know It's You", "Realizer" and "Broken Glass" are the best offerings. "Broken Glass" is signature CM (definitely my fav).

But the sad news is evident in the single as well as the whole of the album: all tried and true samples and beats. Not much to make you turn your head. I wouldn't say pass it up, tho. Just because it's not as revved up as Vegas doesn't mean it's not good electronica. And if you haven't had the opportunity to go to one of their shows.....shame on you! They are the best!!

When I saw them live at Bogarts, two years ago, opener Uberzone were actually twice as good as TCM. I was already dancing from Uberzone's set though so I kept dancing.

I agree with KC's impression. I don't think it lives up to Vegas or Tweekend, but it's nothing to sneeze at either.

It's a lot less catchy than the previous two albums, but then again, it does what it does well enough.

I think my favorites (other than Born Too Slow) are probably 'The American Way', 'Bound Too Long', 'High and Low', and 'Wide Open'. Although, I can't really pick a second single from any of them. BTS, was an obvious first choice, but where it goes from here is debatable. It's not like Tweekend or Vegas where there were several single-worthy songs....

I dunno, maybe a 3.25 out of 5?

EDIT: thecrystalmethod.com has been updated so that you can listen to all the tracks on the album, in case you're interested...

Three tracks (Born Too Slow, Broken Glass, Weapons of Mass Distortion) feature Wes 'I was formerly in Limp Bizkit and knew when to get out' Borland, two (American Way and Acetone) feature Rahzel, and one (I Know It's You) features Milla 'I was the crazy lady in The Fifth Element' Jovovich. Take that as you will....

I was supposed to go to that show but my wife was sick and I missed it. I was so upset. I finally got over it and now it all comes crashing back. Thanks a'child  :p

ct~ hadn't thought about future singles, but you're so right. Look at what we listed....7 different songs between the two of us!

Hehe, sorry. My friend actually met up with me in line and LOST his ticket. He had to pay for another one, and found his lost ticket at his doorstep when he got home. :o

I saw that show in Nashville, it was very good. However I remember not caring that much for Uberzone.

Don't get me wrong. TCM was great. Uberzone was definitely an adequate warmup act though. :)

Not sure what I meant with the whole "twice as good" statement.
