...with the accomplice shouting, "shoot the muther fucker"!
And I considered Glenmore Ave. a resonably safe, quiet part of the West Side.
And I'm shocked at how this happened when it's clearly illegal to carry a handgun in the city limits. Don't thieves know it's against the law?
Luckilly, most criminals are dumb as rocks; my coworker's credit card showed up being used at the same gas station several times the same night. Can you say video tape? I knew you could.
I'm actually a rather non-violent person, but when I hear a story like this, especially so close to home, I can't help but wish great harm be inflicted on the perpetrator. I know violence beget's violence, but I feel like the punk who thinks it's o.k. to act this way should be begat in the face.
Blame social ills? Nope, sorry, I lose sympathy when physical violence enters the picture. I know plenty of people who grew up in lousy (as in poor, dirty, sad) environments who still never took to shoving a pistol in someone's gut. Why? Because their parents taught them displaying respect, honor, courage and loyalty are the sign of a true man/woman.
Oh, it's only the West Side, it's over there? Guess what, this is a decent area it happened in. Wait long enough and it'll be your front porch.
I'm Pissed,
Phreon.
