So I'm hearing Al Sharpton is going to be on SNL this evening? Anyone else intending on tuning in?

Hell yes.
I love Al to death and would love to see him debate Bush. Goddam that would be great.

Am I going insane or was this not aired in Dayton? I tried to watch it but all I got was a "Best of Steve Martin" version of SNL.

DSM,
Some stations did not air Al because of the equal air time issue with other candidates.

Thanks heavens that they didn't air that episode, cos Sharpton is just all over the news and TV. Personally, I I hear just one more thing about him, Braun, Kucinich or Edwards, I'd scream.
How about giving some time for Bush, Leiberman or Dean. You never hear anything about those guys.

Well... Bush is our president so turn on the news/open a paper/check out the internet and it's not too difficult to find up to date info on him.
I agree with Dean though. He's my preferred candidate and they do seem to be paying a lot of attention to candidates that I don't view as serious contenders. As much as I like Braun, Kucinich, and Sharpton, it's not gonna happen for them.

I saw the Al Sharpton episode here in Indianapolis. It was quite humorous and didn't really focus on anything political. I liked the part where they listed the cities that wouldn't air the episode and told each city a resounding "F*CK YOU!!!" or something similar.
It's ridiculous to not air a SNL sketch because Al Sharpton is the guest. What a bunch of crackpots! They even did a sketch of all the other Democratic hopefuls sitting in a room together ragging on Sharpton for being on SNL, and trying to prove to each other how hip and in touch they are with the viewers.
Oh yeah, and PINK was the musical guest.

Eww...
If Pink was the musical guest I'm glad I missed it.

watched this after watching K-State smoke Oklah. maybe i was still laughing at the BCS's troubles, but i thought the right reverend was a scream. the skit over black stereotypes where he summarily dismissed complaints of gender inequality was absolutely priceless.....

They aired it here in Cincinnati. A few parts were mildly funny, but most of it was yawn-worthy, and there were too many political sketches for my tastes. I can always watch Dennis Miller or the Daily Show if I want my political commentary barbed with humor. The best part was definitely the Weekend Update stab at the cities that wouldn't air it. Ludicrous.

Would have to agree...I think they need to show more of Kerry with his motorcycle dropping "F" bombs. Or just mention Gephardt without actually saying anything about him.

That's right, she was interviewed by Jimmy Fallon. It went something like this:
Jimmy: "So, there's a Hilton hotel in Paris, right?"
Paris: "Yes."
Jimmy: "Can anyone check into the Paris Hilton?"
Paris: "No. It's very exclusive."
Jimmy: "Can I check into the Paris Hilton?"
so on...

J: "I'm a celebrity, so I might need to enter the back door of the Paris Hilton."
P: "Not gonna happen."
