stick with early-mid period Madonna and wait for the new Kylie(unless you're willing to pony up the bucks for an import)
they have the sex-dance act down cold and the Britbot is a poor copy.

I prefer experimental 'Ray of Light' Madonna.
Brittney is in the 'No Parking' Zone, according to Colin Ferrell.
And lastly, when is the new Kylie disc due? I know it's soon. I've been waiting for that and the new Crystal Method album.
And if you don't have Danni Minogue's album, get it. It's just as much fun as her sister's 'Fever'.

February 10th (US and Canada)
i'm getting the video for "Slow" in January and the CD looks like it's more geared towards US audiences.

I went with my pop-music lovin friend to Media Play, and she picked up the new Britney cd. She's like, "I hate her, but I heard her new cd is good." After I slapped her, I told her to put it back because I have "connections" who can help me "obtain" a "free" copy of the cd. Gosh, that was close though.

the CD went from #1 to #3 in next week's charts, which means almost 900K copies were sold, but a dip from her last one.

Well, I did one better. I went to the library and checked it out. It is pretty bad unless you like a falsetto baby voice and it sounds like she is panting and moaning throughout the cd. The music is not too horrible, she makes it intolerable.
A Madonna she will never be!!

This moaning and panting will likely cause the listener to want to strangle her. It is not a little...it is alot and annoying. I just want to say to the cd, "alright already, just finish the job and get it over with!"

I'm one of at least 3 people on here from Ross. From there, too? Or just know people there?

I went to Harrison, but I live (when I'm not at UC) a mile from Shandon. Yeah, and I know people from there too. Ross is very...country, but the Creamy Whip kicks ass! Just every time I stop to get gas there, these redneck guys whistle at me. It makes me feel dirty.

I actually bought this cd and I don't think that it is all that bad. There are some clunkers, but (the Moby track) "Early Mornin', "Toxic", and "Everytime" pretty much made it worth it to me.
She may have a long way to go, but I do think that there are some solid pop moments on this album.

yeah,
I'll go against the masses with shivvy and agree that "toxic" is a good tune...
My wife bought the cd (a lustful follower of hers) and loves 3 songs...
so what are you going to do...

I use to date a gal from Ross. Her name was Carrie Dingman or something like that. She's probably about mid 20's by now. Anybody know of her?

I actually listened to this record just so I could participate in authentic Brit bashing.
First, check the credits she didn't write hardly any of it. And second, I have been right all along, this chicky CANNOT sing. Have we ever heard her real voice? Would any producer worth his/her salt let her voice go out on a recording un-tampered?
I agree Shiv the music isn't all that terrible; she (or we should say her label) has some decent song writers but Christ can't they get someone with a real voice to sing them?
Needless to say, I hated it. And the moaning drove me batty too. Blech!
I had to come back and edit my post...upon further study of credits...there are NO songwriting credits. Mixing, Programming, Engineering...a few guitar credits...no songwriting, no music.
very very sad.
