Has anyone heard this blues gem yet? It really rocks my ass so hard that I can't sit still while listening to it on my computer.

I bought it because I saw them at the SGH upstairs in the parlor. There were tons of people there and it felt like it was 100 degrees. I couldn't see the band the whole night, but, god, did they rock.

Then I heard "You Done Told Everybody" on woxy and that was it, I had to get it. I've had it for a good month now and I love listening to it.

If you like the single they play on woxy you will love the rest of the album. It's filled with thick, stripped down blues that contains so much soul, you would think it was made in the 60's by some black guy nobody knows about. A lot of it sounds like the ol' Jimi Hendrix experience. Gotta love that!

The title track comes in at about 8 minutes and never lets up. It starts as a minimal blues song and ends up some crazy experimental-noise-blues-rawk!!

I would recommend if you like:

Greenhornes
Black Keys
The Kills - more rockin than the kills though
White Stripes
Thee Shams
or any other blues band.

Get this cd.....support local music!!!!!!!!!!!

This album is indeed the bomb. Almost as good as seeing them live. They could play outside in a foot of snow on Christmas eve, and you'd still sweat your genitals off. I just wish the reviewers and feature writers would stop treating Pearlene as if they were a Soledad Brothers side-project, like Johnny Walker just happened to let Reuben and Jesse in the band. They don't need no stinkin' Soledad Brothers to sing the muthafunkin blues, man!
