Ever since they landed an IPod commercial earlier this year, Chairlift have been one of the hottest bands to come out of Brooklyn. But we like to think we were ahead of the game on these guys, and that the tune from that commercial is nice, but if that is all you know, you should have a listen to the rest of the album. Or maybe just catch the trio live, as they are just finishing up a big run of dates with Peter Bjorn and John and have a headlining date back home in Brooklyn at the Bell House on Sunday May 10th.
And we have a pair of tickets to give away to the show! All you have to do is first….be sure you can attend the show, and second, send an email to woxycontests at gmail dot com with the subject line reading “Chairlift.”
Got it? Get your entries in by Friday at 10am eastern, good luck!

Ben Sollee was born and raised the the bluegrass state of Kentucky, and carries a rich musical history along with him. Since Ben released his debut album, Learning To Bend, last year on local label SonaBlast out of Louisville, he has garnered well deserved attention from all over the country for his combination of soulful vocals and precise cello skills.
While out on the road with WOXY favorite, and fellow Kentuckian Daniel Martin Moore, we were really pleased to be able to host Ben in our lounge, where he shared 5 songs with us, including tunes from his debut, and his more recent Something Worth Keeping EP.
