Scotland Yard Gospel Choir Accident Last Night

scotland1.jpg
Our friends from The Scotland Yard Gospel Choir were on their way from Chicago to the MidPoint Music Festival in Cincinnati yesterday when they in a very serious van accident. They blew a tire and then rolled several times, eventually stopping with the van upside down in the median of the interstate.

All 6 members of the band were injured in the accident, with one still in serious condition. Their gear was also destroyed and their van totaled. Since this was to be the beginning of a touring cycle to support their new Bloodshot Records release “…and the horse you rode in”, this accident itself itself is expensive on many levels and they’ll be missing out on potential income from playing new shows. If you’ve enjoyed the band’s WOXY Lounge Act sessions, live shows, or cd’s over the last few years and would like to make a donation you can use PayPal to send a donation to: tsygc@bloodshotrecords.com

For continued updates on the condition of the band members and more information, Bloodshot has set up a page that will be constantly updated with more information on who’s in and out of the hospital, what’s going on, and what the band has to say. If you’re looking for information on the accident – for press or for personal reasons – check there before you ask us. We’ll just direct you there, most likely.
