WOXY iPhone App Now In App Store!
It’s here! The WOXY.com iPhone application for your iPhone or iPod Touch is now available for free download in
the App Store! We are pretty excited about this and hope you will love using it. This is the first version of the app and we hope to add new features down the road to continue to bring you more and more of WOXY.com on the go!

If you are unable to use the iPhone app though, there are still other ways to stream WOXY.com and WOXY Vintage from your mobile phone. Have a look below at some of these options after the jump…
FStream – Fstream is a free application that allows you to stream any internet radio station from your iPhone. If you are used to streaming though iTunes, it gives you all the stations from iTunes to choose from. Just select WOXY as a favorite and get to listening.
Shoutcast Radio – Very similar to Fstream in that you can snag loads of internet radio stations. I like being able to see how many others are listening as well.
And of course, you can stream the WOXY Vintage channel on either of these apps as well.
***I just got a tip from one of our listeners that you can also listen on your T-Mobile G1 Android phone as well. He recommends Streamfurious, which is a shoutcast app similar to the IPhone one above, he says the 128 stream sounds great, and with streamfurious, the Android browser automatically associates the .pls file and starts playing almost instantaneously. And with Android, you can do other stuff while listening.

what’s the best way to listen to WOXY on a blackberry? I’ve been using modio.fm, which is okay, but is there anything better?

You have your descriptions of the radio stations swithced. Shoutcast pulls from iTunes and FStream you have to manually configure.
Either way I’m excited about this. I can now listen to WOXY in the car or on the train while in Chicago. As long as the cell signal holds up.

Love the app but just dying to have a feature like AOL Radio app where you can “remember” the song that’s being played. I always end up writing down songs I like so it’d be an awesome feature to have on the WOXY iPhone app.

Thank you so much for the app! I’m sure you guys have great features in the works, but here’s my vote for a “recently played” track list as well as perhaps some kind of direct RSS connection to WOXY/Futurist posts.
For what it’s worth, SOMA FM’s player has some great features that you might want to check out. They do have way more feeds, it’s true, but some other things like favourite songs and links to LaLa/iTunes could be good.
