Action Painters are a 5 piece band from Brooklyn that have begun to make a name for themselves in their hometown, which is known around the country for being the place bands are born. Because of the large amounts of creative and artistic people in the area, lots of folks re-locate there to get their musical careers started. That is partly how Action Painters began a couple years ago, and in the time since, they have not only gotten the attention of their contemporaries in the local area, but the ripple affect is beginning to spread.

One of those ripples brought them to us in Cincinnati, OH while out on the road for their first tour outside of the New York area. The band have released two EP’s, the most recent of which was recorded in one day as the band made the most of their limited time in a studio. The results are the Lay That Cable EP, which is another sample of the bands sound which will ultimately lead to the release of their debut full length later this year.
