We were fortunate enough to have a doubleheader in the Lounge, catching both The Spinto Band and their touring partners The Rural Alberta Advantage on an otherwise cold & gloomy April day in Cincinnati.

Both bands were following up a successful SXSW experience and had stopped the night before to play a WOXY-sponsored gig at the Southgate House.

For The RAA, it was their first journey across the United States. Last year, they self-released an album called Hometowns which started to attract the attention of bloggers at home and abroad and was part of the eMusic Select series.

In this performance, they play 3 cuts from the album and even treat us to a brand new track to start things off. They’re planning a full-scale U.S. tour this summer and hope to ‘properly’ release Hometowns soon.
