Lounge Act Recap - The Black Angels
This was another session that feels a long time in the making. Austin’s The Black Angels have been fixtures on the WOXY playlist since their debut “Passover” was released in 2006.
They stopped in town while on tour with The Warlocks and played a (slightly) stripped down set for us. Beginning with a tune from their debut, the set also includes a brand new cut and two tunes that you can find on their second album, “Directions To See A Ghost.”
With their relentless touring schedule, it seems impossible that they could already be working on their third album, but that is indeed in the works. Recently signed to the Suretone imprint of Interscope Records, the band will continue writing and prepping new material for recording later this year.
