When most people are bored, they go get something to eat. Maybe they check their email, paint their toenails or write grandma that long overdue thank-you note for the birthday present you received back in 1986.

When Muffin Spencer is bored, she … forms a band. Uh, yeah. Logically, right? Muffin, sibling of Jon Spencer – you know, the whole Blues Explosion thing – joined forces with Stefan Gordan, Jonny Barrington and Karen Frost (who was apparently picked to play bass because of “her ability to play bass, shout, and chew gum all at the same time”) back in the late 90s in response to their collective abhorrence for all things deemed rock and roll.

Brassy is indeed just that – harsh, loud, metallic, strident, grating. With Muffin at the helm, the band released their debut album Got It Made to critical consideration and audience appraisal.

17 tracks + 41 minutes = balls to the wall rock & roll roughhousing and, ‘like the most addictive of drugs from the first hit, you’ll find yourself hooked.’
