If you’re a world class athlete, you’ve scored gold at the Olympics. If you’re a world class musician, you’ve sold out Madison Square Garden. However, if partying is your profession, traditional rules don’t apply. There’s only one place in the world that challenges the sanity of self-proclaimed night owls. You go hard or you go home–Ibiza don’t mess.

And, more than likely, if you’ve frequented the hedonistic haven, you’ve heard Basement Jaxx spin their club anthem, "Samba Magic." The DJ-ing and production duo of Felix Buxton and Simon Ratcliffe have been creating their own brand of house music since forming Basement Jaxx in 1995.

The UK natives wanted to rediscover the feeling of early Chicago house music and set out on a mission to add their own flavor (rap, funk, ragga, disco, garage) in order to make the music their own. After developing a following in their native London, Japan, Canada, Australia and the U.S., Basement Jaxx signed to XL Records (Prodigy) and soon released the single "Red Alert." The track earned the duo critical success and mainstream acceptance, hailing Basement Jaxx as "the saviours of truly inventive dance music."
