Museums, as a rule, are boring. There's the rare exception - like the Mütter Museum in Philadelphia, parts of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Add N to (X). For the past seven years, Add N to (X) has been collecting and keeping vintage synthesizer technology in the public eye.

Love of the moog sound brought Add N to (X) together. Vocalist Ann Shenton met Barry Smith at an abstract electronic club. Steven Claydon came on board because of his expert theremin playing. The three decided to begin playing as a tribute to Can-esque sixties synth-pop they all adored. They took the band name from a computer command that creates an unknown electronic force.

Add N to (X) has toured extensively through America and Europe, with an ever-changing backing band. One of said shows was held at an unused nuclear bunker in Scotland.

Their most recent record, Add Insult to Injury, was recorded at a villa in France in six months. Add N to (X) continues their quest to bring the synthesizer to the forefront of the world's mind.
