I started hooking up half-broken tape decks and cheap microphones in my basement when I was about twelve and it’s just sort of snowballed out of control ever since. Through my tenure at Ultrasuede Studio from 2003 until 2009, I have had the pleasure of working with a majority of the most talented and well-known artists in the Cincinnati area, such as Wussy, The Sundresses, and Heartless Bastards. I proudly managed to use the two-inch analog tape machine on a good portion of recordings there. From 2005 to 2007, The Heartless Bastards invited me to join them on several tours, running sound in such venues at the Ryman Auditorium and Radio City Music Hall.
Since the start of WOXY's Lounge Acts series in 2004, I’ve been behind the board mixing your favorite bands live for nearly every session. Since then, I’ve slowly been taking on other roles: uploading podcasts, editing photos, hooking up computers, etc. While I sure can’t keep up with the latest bands and albums they way the DJs do, I get my musical fix through participation and working with bands.
